Small beautiful town, good for letting time pass, it has a long decent sandy beach, and one can book excursions from the small colourfull harbour. The town has all the standard amenities a holiday maker would like, it is near the larger town of Agios Nikolaos (within 20 minutes drive) and the area has some exclusive luxury hotels as well.
Visit Babel for a good coffee if you are in Elounda

Well worth a visit.. Drive through to the harbour and square.. Lots of places to eat and shop.. Keep goind and you get to Plaka with views of Spinalonga
Nice and clean coast village.
