Very beautiful picturesque village on the mountains of Arkadia untouched by tourism

Great Observatory ! We were in Asea to visit my wife's Aunt and Uncle. (visiting from Canada) We were lucky enough to get a tour of the little observatory, and to view Jupiter, Saturn, some clusters and a few other great things. Asea is a great town in the hills of the Peloponese with very little light pollution, has a great view of the stars, and is an excellent place for an observatory ! This team has created this without government funding and it really shows as a labour of love. It's a great asset to Asea and I hope it gets great success. Is there such thing as astrotourism ? Maybe there should be !

Το καλύτερο αστεροσκοπείο της χώρας! Χτίστηκε χωρίς ΚΑΜΙΑ ΕΠΙΔΟΤΗΣΗ από τους κρατικούς φορείς! Τα χρήματα συγκεντώθηκαν αποκλειστικά από δωρεές. Τα εργατικά έγιναν από τα μέλη του Επιστημονικού Συλλόγου.
