Emotional visit. No-one will come away without an appreciation of the post Cretans played in the 2nd World War. So many artefacts from all sides displayed. A Labour of love for sure. Well worth a visit.

If you are in any way interested in military things, then pop in on your way through. It's more of a private collection of this and that, with some gems in the mix. Happy I pulled in.
Very cute- family run museum. Generations after the war collected all kinds of artifacts and put them all on display. We arrived and we're immediately greeted and then they gave us a tour of the museum telling us everything there is to know about the things they have there. Would recommend!
Wonderful collection, very well presented and preserved. Took about 45 mins, guided by the owner. Unfortunately he didn't speak English , so a little difficult to understand sometimes. Would have been nice to have more historical context, you do need to know the basic story of the German invasion before going.
Impressive private arms collection of World War II with great explanation by the grandchild of a Cretan partisan, the present day owner. Family run business that deserves your attention and support. Even seats and uniforms of Stuka and Spitifire. Lots of documents and detailed stuff like cigarette packs and röntgen film of a German army doctor.
Amazing and so well preserved items inside. We recommend visit!
Best privite collection so far. You can see a lot of different items back 1770.If you love to be a part of the history - definitely visit.
We visited the War Museum on the way back from visiting Safika. The owner opened up for us and gave us a personal tour of the museum, this is a no frills place but utterly worth checking out. Everything is there to see and touch, great place to soak up the atmosphere.
