A Jewel Made in Greece is rated 3 out of 5 in the category arts and crafts. Read and write reviews about A Jewel Made in Greece. The implementation: In 2014, following a personal persuit and having the supportof my collegues, I realized my idea, by presenting at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens a group Exhibition of Contemporary Creative Jewelry, which we had the honor to be under the auspices of the Ministry of Development, the National Archaeological Museum, the Numismatic Museum & Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum, as well as the honorouble participation of: the Byzantine and Christian Museum, the Museum Alex Mylona – Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Greek Folk Art, which participated in the exhibition by presenting replicas of the collection's jewelry. The cooperation: The team of «A Jewel Made in Greece», in which 70 inspired designers participate, supports and highlights the uniqueness of each artist showing respect to the personality of each. Besides, jewelry, like any work of art refers to the meeting between people and the Universe. "Jewel", which means arrange in harmony, is the human need to sort out what is happening around him. The journey: Our “Jewel” is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum and Enterprise Greece. The other Museums are supporting us this year as well. G. Zongolopoulos Foundation, the Luceum Club of Greek women, the Gold SmitherySchool of Stemnitsa will exhibit their “treasures”. John Metzikof will travel us through the image of the Tiara which Ghena Dimitrova was wearing in Macbeth and the necklace, which he created for Eirini Pappa. The “soul” of the exhibition: 36 Greek contemporary artists participate by exhibiting their jewelry, which are “real diamonds”, promoting an important message: The Greek Jewelry is timeless and competitive in Greece and abroad. _______________________________________ I invite you to believe our vision and support it. Because, in order for the project to succeed, collaboration, hard work and above all "soul" is needed. Mary Samoli Concept & Designer
