Our aim is to activate and mobilize the Greek society through essential partnerships and give prominence, whereas possible, to every social need from every corner of Greece that can be addressed via a social program. Our moto is “creating social good” because that is what we do and what we stand for! We are an organization with rich and in-depth experience and knowledge that has active and substantial role for the past 15 years on social programs in the mental health sector and overall in the civil society. Our proven experience as an active member of the latest since 2005, through the NPO "Τhalpos-Mental Health"​ [thalpos.org.gr/en ], has enriched us with the advantage of being able to identify and highlight the needs and challenges that arise through the design of social benefit projects, and especially their direct, integral and substantial implementation. Through our experience and monitoring of the socio-economic changes in our country and the real social needs that are rapidly rising, we founded the non-profit organization ATHENA in 2018, with solely social purpose and with a grand vision: Change the conditions and quality of life for people living in Greece. Our drive is collectivity and our system of values which fundamentally support every project that inspires, activates and mobilizes social good: for people we can! We seek to become a dynamic and beneficial hub of knowledge, co-operation and action for the Civil Society, through our social program “People for People”, a social platform for online donations from the crowd and institutional benefactors, to selected social campaigns, which are then implemented in co-operation with the relevant party, while the Organization also implements its own programs on culture and social innovation.
