Domés, through its multifarious activities, aims to have an on-going dialogue between the Greek and the international architectural reality. Domés Journal Domés journal, bilingual (Greek - English) in its entirety, gives accounts of aspects of contemporary international architecture by means of a logic of individual subjects. Among others, it has hosted the works of Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, Bernard Tschumi, Norman Foster, Rem Koolhaas, and Richard Meier. Since 2005, Domés has published over 100 issues, including over 800 works and projects by more than 2000 architects. Domés Awards Domés Awards were established in 2009 with the purpose of encouraging and promoting the work of Greek architects in Greece and abroad. In the eight years of the institution’s life, more than 1,000 entries have been assessed by distinguished architects of international standing, such as Richard Meier, Steven Holl, Bernard Tschumi, Alberto Campo Baeza, and David Chipperfield. Domés Special Publications Domés has produced a series of specialist publications, of varied architectural content, which, apart from their availability in the commercial market, are included in the ‘Eudoxos’ university programme, which supplies Greece's tertiary educational institutions. Domés Competitions Domés, in collaboration with private agencies, has held three PanEuropean architecture competitions, for specific housing complexes, in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Euboea. More than 600 architects and consultants of various specialisations have taken part in the competitions. In 2016 Domés held the PanEuropean competition Room18 for the design of a hotel room of 18m2. The competition attracted over 350 entries and the three prizes were realised in full scale at an exhibition at the Benaki Museum. Domés Index Domés Index is the largest internet library of modern Greek architecture, and includes more than 400 exemplary works, from 1923 to the present day.
