SYMBOL HELLAS S.A. made its initial foray into the world of luxury timepieces, in 1984, and since then, has been engaged in the exclusive import and distribution of, internationally renowned, luxury brands (mainly watches and jewelries), all of which encompass qualities of enduring beauty and exceptional quality. SYMBOL, slowly but steadily, entered the market and gathered many of the major, worldwide brands under the same umbrella. It started with Mikimoto pearls in 1984, followed by the brand Gucci and many more companies such as Patek Philippe, Technomarine. The company operates as a wholesaler in Greece, covering all of Greece, from the North to the South. The company has a significant number of retailers, which exceeded 350 throughout the country, by the year 2008. Since 2010, due to the Greek recession and financial crisis, a significant number of the outlets closed down. At the moment, the company works with the healthier and financially stable retailers, with upgraded stores and market image. The company has invested significantly, to build up a service center for all its brands. A competent new management team has taken over, with a vision to maintain SYMBOL as a key player in the market, and the MISSION to maintain the exclusive distribution of existing main brands and to obtain new brand names in the same sector (luxury products) in the near future.
