Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for a brilliant taxi service from the airport to Piraeus and back. We were really impressed with the professionalism of the service the cars and the taxi drivers, they were very good.And for the easy and prompt communications. We will be back to Athens and will definitely be using Athens cabs again thank you. I can highly recommend Athens Cabs. Both taxi drivers were professional, polite, helpful and English speaking. Cabs bright yellow, very clean, air con It cost 44euros each way which for 4 people and luggage made the trip cost effective, plus for the speed (c45 mins) and efficiency (they were ready waiting for us at the airport and the port) made it very easy. Communication was mainly via WhatsApp and was very prompt, clear and helpful, both with Panos and the drivers. Five stars from us.
We had a great driver, very professional and very kind. We chose AthensCabs SPECIFICALLY because their website says we can use our credit card to pay. After 2 weeks in Greece and going home the next day, we had just 25 left and the cab fare was 34 to the airport daytime, 43 early morning hours so we needed to use a credit card. The driver picked us up right on time at 4:00 AM, drove us quickly and smoothly to the airport but when we arrived we discovered that he did not have a machine to run our cards. We explained that we specifically chose AthensCabs so that we could use a card because all we had left was 25. From past experience I have had many cab drivers that will say their machine is not working because they prefer cash but will miraculously get them working again when they understand there is no cash. However this was not the case here; this driver simply did not have any machine to run the card. We were at an impasse. But he was professional and decided to take the 25 and sent us on our way. Well we felt badly about that all the way home to America and once home we have reached out to AthensCabs to see if there is some way to pay the difference plus a healthy tip to that very kind, very professional driver. We are awaiting their response now and will update this review with what we later learn. We do recommend this service highly, but warn you to have enough cash in case your driver also has no machine in his car despite what the website promises.
