Very rude, unhelpful and unprofessional staff. These are public officials and they disrespect the public that pay their wages.

Took 1 week before someone picked up the phone in order to make an appointment. Appointment doesn't matter, you still have to wait in line before someone 'helps' you. Don't make an appointment if you got somewhere to go cause you might end up waiting for hours.

I visited today and received my EU citizen card. I have to admit that on the whole staff treated me well and I got my job done although I had to wait about an hour until my card was prepared. I’m happy i was able to receive it then and there rather than having to leave and return later to pick it up. I will not score this against a perfect scenario because we know things aren’t perfect! My score of 3/5 is due to the appalling state of the toilets in the building.

Maybe the rudest man I have ever experienced. Utterly disinterested. Not at all helpful. Shocked by his incompetence and his manner. Hope you never have to interact with this department

Worst experience in Greece so far.

Waiting for an EU residence permit took about 1h30 first think in the morning. If you plan to come by metro via Elaionas station, bring a pollution mask and prepare to walk among trucks, along a dusty, littered road without pavement for about 20 minutes / 2 km.

The opening times for EU citizens are Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 10 a.m., but nobody will tell you that when you ask at the entrance, which is from the back of the building at Salaminos street. You wait together with the extra-EU people, whose office opens at 8. So probably in order to get in at 7.30 you have to be a bit assertive with the policeman at the entrance. I only found out about the opening time after I had waited until 8. For EU citizens there's no queue, but it still takes the office one hour and a half to give you a little yellow booklet with your photo stapled on. Then you have to go out and get two photocopies made and bring them back. Luckily there's a booth near the back entrance that sells coffee, makes photocopies and passport photos. Given the waiting times, you won't be able to avoid using the toilet, but you will wish you were able to.
