Such a cool market, you must visit when in Athens. All types of meats, vegetables, and Greek products like cheeses and olives. Very diverse and interesting people!

Very nice place. You can buy excellent quality of meat and especially fish. For every tourist its a must see.
Municipal Athens marketing is where I go everyday to buy my favorite fresh fish and meat.
I visited the fish market, you can find a plenty variety of fresh fishes and Sea foods!I wish the the market would have been updated by the authorities, the stands are old and it's not so clean in terms of hygiene!
Why can't we have markets like this in the UK? The produce was all beautifully fresh and the displays so inviting. Although a market quality is high, again unlike so many UK ones! We saw the fish market, meat market, and fruit and veg markets and I only wish I could have bought more to take home and cook - sadl not possible as we are on holiday!
A good more local experience outside of the touristic center. Mostly meat and fish in the indoor section, but one can also find olives and cheeses across the street. Feel free to try different types of olives and then when you buy, ask them to vacuum pack them for you (for an additional euro charge).
There are plenty of and very fresh meals and sea foods in this market.
Good, vibrant market that sells almost everything! The photos are from some of the small ally restaurants that offer really good value for money, quality Greek food! I’d love to come back and buy own fish, meat, veg etc from the market and cook!
