Wheelchair-accessible entrance
It's a good place with trees and grass and other plants. It has a nice aura. The problem is that the government does not take care of it, so it is not looking as good as it should be. Also, there are a few gangs on that place, usually doing drugs and the mayor does nothing about it. It's very dangerous to visit at night. I suggest you to visit it at the morning. Also, be on the bright sides of the park. It's a huge place so it has good areas and bad areas. It's also very good to exercise. Do not visit at night. Stay safe. COVID-19 Safety Level:

Truly nice and historical park. It's pretty clean and has numerous spots for you to sit down and have a chat. Avoid the entrance of the theater when there is no show since it will be full of kids playing there and they are quite loud.
On the green hilltop of Hippio Kolonos there are the graves of two philhellenes Carolos Lenorman and Carolos Muller. Lenorman was anthropologist and archaeologist at the Sorbonne University and he participated in many research and tours around Greece. He died during one of his visits in Greece and he requested to be buried in Kolonos area, close to Plato Academy. His memorial built in 1860. Kolonos in ancient Greek means hill. A unique place in Athens.
Nice spot to sit down and relax if you can find some shade.
Dirty place, many dogs pool, and homeless people finding shelter leaving many garbages behind
the energy of the place takes us back to the origins.
Great place to visit, a beautifull theatre on the top of the hill, many musical events take place during spring-summer-autumn period!
