This place is great. I have stayed 6 times in the last 10 years. Why do I keep coming back? I will share this story. I live in Canada but I speak Greek. As I was waiting in the lobby once, an American family arrives for their vacation. They took a taxi from the airport. The gentleman states to the owner that the taxi driver charged 80 euros, which at that time was closer to 40. The owner went to the taxi driver and told him to charge the fair price. The story seem banal. There is much dishonesty in Greece at all times. But I was impressed with the owner's principles to aid his client. The place is clean, safe and charming. Dont be surprised there is no shower curtain or glass. In all of greece it seems like they dont believe in shower curtains.

Not value for money. - Newly renovated basic apartment furnished with microwave and electric kettle. - Shower has half a glass so the water splatters everywhere, which makes the floor slippery. - Front-desk service is provided to keep your luggage after checking-out. -The location is great, just a short walk to the Athens acropolis, Athens museum, plaka. - Many souvenir shops and good budget restaurants are next step. Supermarket is also nearby. - Very very small room. You hardly can walk inside the room :((. If you are claustrophobic, this apartment is NOT for you. - Costly, not value for money. We stayed in a two room apartment with balcony and fully furnished kitchen with essentials (such as oil, coffee, sugar, salt etc.) at one-third of the price near First Olympic stadium a week before. Hence highly disappointed with the property. - There is discrepancy between the Advertised property and the Real one. A small room at the BASEMENT is provided, which spoil our holiday. Feel like cheated. - The apartment is FAR from the property advertised. It is a separate building with no security at all (only the room lock). NO SAFETY. Anybody can enter into the apartment - Very poor hospitality. We are forced to carry our luggage and use the staircase, while the lift exists!!! Completely stupid behavior. Tips: There are plenty of properties with same or slightly more price around acropolis. Better to avoid this property unless you want to enjoy your holiday in a closed box at BASEMENT.
We had a room on the top floor with a window view of the Acropolis and a balcony. It was clean, well kept, tons of storage and space, great amenities, walking distance to everything including Plaka, great restaurants and bars nearby, and the BEST staff!! I emailed back and forth from America and always got immediate replies. When we got there we were amazed at the attentiveness and kindness shown to us. They even emailed me after we left asking if we'd gotten our delayed luggage. (We didn't get our luggage from United Airlines for five more days!) Despite arriving a day late (again, United Airlines), and not having any luggage, we had a blast in Athens, largely due to the staff at this hotel going out of their way. They gave us a map and detailed on the map where to go and how to get there. They walked us to our room, and back down the the reception area when we first got there, making sure we knew our way around before leaving us to our room. Mostly, everyone we interacted with was kind, friendly, and willing to do whatever they could to help us have a great stay. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. To find a hotel that not only has all the best amenities, the best location, and best price, but also such amazing staff is a just an amazing find! We'll be back to Athens in a few years with our kids, and this is one city where I don't have to search for a hotel. We can't wait to stay here again! Thank you Hotel Tony! Many thanks to you!!
I stayed at Tony’s for the first time in 2012. I still stay at Tony’s when I’m in Athens. I just had a great stay again. Very high quality of accommodation and cleaning. Nice area of town and close (walking distance) to tourist sights and restaurants
Excellent hotel. Perfect location in Arhens. Very close to Acropolis.
From the moment we walked in the staff was really helpful with walking us to our room giving us advice where to go how to get making sure we get to our ferry on time the next day. The room was absolutely impeccable, so beautiful and very spacious. I will definitely come here again on my next trip to Athens.
Wonderful. I would have been pleased with the room at twice the price paid and service was friendly and proactive. As this place is also almost at the foot of the Acropolis in a centrally located area of bars and restaurants, I can't quite believe the value. If it is room and location you are after look no further. If you want to pay 3 times more to be surrounded by people in uniforms and buy food and drinks you can get in the local area, avoid this place at all costs.
Lovely place to stay in Athens. Tony was really helpful and gave us advice on the best places to go and he also helped us arrange our airport taxis. The room was clean and well presented. Would definitely stay again if we ever return to Athens.
