This viewpoint offerings the best view of Athens available. Well worth the trek to the top, easier in low season without the heat. In the background you can see Aegina and Salamis islands.
Great place to visit to see most of the city from on spot. To get around plenty fo public transport available. Top of the hill can be reached walking, by car or funicular at the bottom of the hill. Observation area has a cafe with nice views and small souvenir stands.
Fantastic view, but certainly not been taken care at all!!!! Should be painted, install lighting system and cleaned from grass etc. ASAP!!
You wont get any better Athens views! Take the cable-car up and enjoy the sunset here.
I was there on January 2017. The is a church situated on the top of the Mount Lycabettus peak. It takes around one hour hiking from ground. Though it costs time and energy to reach there, but it was worthwhile once I reached on the summit! From the peak, one can see the whole Athens panoramic views. Evening or Morning would be the best time visit this place.
Awesome place..best for the whole view of Athens..and also for relaxing away from city noise..
