Excellent! The young team is more than careful and attentive. Great knowledge of the wine (you don’t get bored with technical explanation) and really good wine selection: most of them byodin from Europe, South Africa and new new world. The food menu has everything one needs to have a nice dinner: easy, without plethoras and very very good “materia prima” ingredients.

Really and honestly impressed with the speed and professionalism the team of Materia Prima executed and delivered an online order consisting of a variety of wines, within 2-3 hours of order placement. Amazing and they have already won me over and will definitely be buying from the again. Prices are fair and variety is really really good; lots of lesser known greek producers and varieties including many natural and/or orange wines. They are very friendly and if you need any advise, don't hesitate to contact them. I may not have managed to visit them in store and sit at their wine bar but now during COVID-19 pandemic, they sure have evolved in delivering the best wines, at good prices, in a fast way. Such efforts should and must be acknowledged and rewarded
Small and efficient. Quite a big variety of wines, some of which is difficult to find elsewhere. The menu is cleverly designed and executed, there is always a dish that can accompany your choice of wine(s). And you always have the cheese choices if you want less elaborated tastes for your wine(s). Pricewise? A pleasant surprise! You'll return soon!
Very cozy but modern vinery with a variety of local vines. Very carefully select the vine according to your preferences. Loved the atmosphere.
Wonderful small wine bar. I loved the ambiance of the place. We got there right after 8 on a Fri so it wasn't too busy at all yet. We got our first wine from the menu but after that, we went with the waiters recommendations and they did not disappoint! He brought us wines that weren't even on the menu. Also... The food... AMAZING. I got the toasted ciabatta and it paired perfectly with my wine.
Very nice place to test natural greek wine and elaborate food even if the portion are sometimes a bit small, side dishes sush as puree could be a bit more consequent. People in the bar were particularly interesting.
Beautiful natural wine place. They have quite an interesting selection of local and international wines, very friendly and knowledgeable stuff and lovely food choices. A must visit, if you into natural wine and you’re traveling in Athens.
I just visited for the food - a quick dinner after arriving in Athens and before getting an early night's sleep before shipping out. A great choice. The wait staff were particularly charitable explaining the menu items for me.
