If you perform a Google search for\best baklava in Athens\ this place will pop up. I decided to stop in and give it a try. It was an hour before closing and the woman behind the counter couldn't be more inviting. She was so sweet and spoke perfect English, although she apologized many times for her ability. This place has been around for a long time with deep connections to the area. The staff take pride in the product they are selling and it really shows. I tried two versions of baklava and another almond based dessert. Everything was delicious, not overly nutty or overly sweet. I tried three other places for baklava in Athens, and this is by far my favorite.

Fantastic shop and the owner makes it a thousand times more enjoyable by describing each delicious item and showing pictures, telling stories and making you feel like you're special!

Delicious baklava, made with almonds not pistachio, which made for a lovely change! We didn't try any of their other treats but will be back tomorrow.

Such a friendly owner! The truffle was my favorite. But the candied mandarin was the most unique.

Small family ran shop. Great quality. Great prices. All handmade products. I really miss genuine places like that in central and western Europe. Would definitely come back.

Well worth a visit, the baklava is as good as promised. You can get pieces individually wrapped which are perfect for taking some with you on your journey. The marzipan in a pistachio crust (also comes with dark chocolate) is also amazing, but there is lots beyond that to try. Just a shame they are not open on a Sunday to go back and get more!
