Wow! Really that's all that us required to be said, go up and see for yourself. Look out onto the whole of Athens from the sea to the far edges of the city, its truly inspiring. Unfortunately not that accessible so if you have mobility problems you won't be able to see the entire view, but still worth heading up at sunset or sundown. As with all these areas it's a little spoilt by ugly buildings that seem to be built to be only cheap and functional, no thought given to where they are. But if you can ignore the tat, ugly buildings, litter, and a slight edge of neglect you can enjoy a view you will remember for many a long year.

One of the best experiences in Athens. I have lived here since I was born and I have never visited it. One of the most beautiful and historic buildings in Athens. The view is incredible. The staff is really helpful and ready to explain everything about the unknown universe. If you want to visit the Observatory, I would recommend a guided tour, otherwise you will not understand the magic of this place. It was really worth it.

Brilliant tour of the observatory museum including a piece of equipment over 2,000 years old that was way ahead of its time. The view from the telescope at the end was also fantastic. Our tour guide Alexandros was also very knowledgeable as was his colleague who controlled the telescope at the end. Well worth the visit. Highly recommend.

It was an incredible experience. It's been the first time I have visited it since I ve settled down in Athens and I loved it. The staff was very kind, helpful and ready to explain and answer to all our questions. It's worth to have this tour, definitely!

The guide is a very nice girl with good English, she had the ability to describe everything in a clear and correct way. Very nice place for people interested in ancient science and work, and astronomy.

Skipped the Observatory, but took some great sunset pictures from the area. These are just a few of the last bit of sunlight on the Acropolis and the city as the sun is setting.

It is really good place and you can see one old telescope which the astrophysics was used to see the stars. Also you have the chance to see a planet or the stars with a big telescope near to museum .
