Just watched a magnificent adaptation of Dickens' \A Christmas Carol\ in Greek with English supertitles. A great show in every sense! Great performances, costumes, props and a live band!! with a Grand piano, playing on a submerging stage!

My favorite theater in Athens. The building is amazing and the time you spend there always with hight quality. The area is not that safe but it worth it. Take the metro and choose omonia metro station. It is like 2’ walking from there. Do not hesitate to take an outside photo and of course to enjoy any event, just to realize the unique feeling. Sometimes there are offers on the tickets.

A great neoclassical building that houses exceptional quality performances. The construction of the building was started in 1891 and completed a few years later. It was designed by the architect Ernst Ziller and the facade of the building was inspired by the Hadrian's Library. Tickets are inexpensive and definitely deserves a visit. The majority of the players have English subtitles.

A genuine palace of culture, marvelous as an exquisite 19th century neoclassical building. I attended The Story of Christmas with my son. The theatre was full and yet disciplined and highly attentive. Right at the centre of Athens, it offers high-quality culture at affordable prices and English subtitles. Highly recommended for a taste of middle-class Athens.

Tried to go by car. The nearby Parking Παρης was closed on a December Saturday night so we returned back as the whole area is very dangerous. You feel like your life is threatened. This area is awful and you feel like you are not in Greece but in a ghetto criminal area of drug dealing. Pity such a beautiful and historic place is situated there...

Well restored national theater of Athens. Two venues inside the same building, the old historic one, beautifully kept, and a smaller space for more experimental theater. Always top level theater performances of the National Theater. You just can't go wrong by attending a theater performances there. Always too quality level word, and totally not staid!!!

Great Theatre at the centre of the city. The staff is very polite and the building seemed to be taken care of, unlike many other wonderful buildings in the city.
