They charged me 8 euros for commission and also converted euros to British pounds at 0.75, which at the same day almost all greek banks had 0.85-88 . And when I told them they almost said that I am layer. My wife the same day had the same amount of euros converted in the national bank and took almost 10% more pounds. This happend at the eleutherios venizelos airport .
Not sure if stupid lady or dishonest!!!. Upon leaving the airport my daughter checked her cash and it was 100 short! Admittedly should have checked when the transaction took place, lesson learned! But as she rightly said \she did not expect to be cheated\ - Arrivals Extra 1 4/8/2019 time 1:43 - document 302281 - the document states that it changed pounds sterling 140.00 whereas the lady was given 240.00 - Having already left the airport there was no way to prove the amount given to the cheating lady!!!
We used their services in Mykonos and in Santorini. Polite staff and they gave us the best price for the amount we exchanged, as we compared from other exchange branches located in the island. Highly recommended
Company's vague policy on the tax free form forces you to accept a bad exchange rate or risk to loose your money instead of giving you the currency mentionedin the form. The agent Konstantinos at SKG airport was clueless, had no idea about the process and delayed enough to be called by the airline ground staff on the gate and he cancelled the whole process. Needless to say that for more than 30mins he had a break and none was on the desk!
