I don't get why it was placed here...if Acropolis was built thanks to Pericles, wasn't it supposed to be placed there? Anyway, it looks great at night.
This is the place of the Perikles statue... he was the man who let build the acropolis, he get divorced of his wife to be together with Aspasia. She opened school for women and fought for their rights, and she was the first woman in history who was divorced from her husband by free willingness. So at this place you can feel the history, on the opposite is the Kotzia square, you can come per walk in 5 minutes from Monastiraki or Syntagma Square, at daytime you may pass the big market ( attention : they also selling fish) at Athinon Street, at night It’s better not to be alone, the roads are darker and not well visited then.
My husband's name is Pericles so it was special to visit
