Zappeio Hall also known as The Zappeion Megaron of Athens was designed by the famous Danish architect Theophil Freiherr von Hansen in 1878, the Zappeion Megaron is named after Evangelos Zappas, a businessman from Epirus who played a major role in starting the Zappian Olympic Games, which laid the path for the modern Olympic Games. He offered to sponsor the revival of the Modern Olympic Games and soon the first modern Olympics were held at the Panathenaic Stadium Athens in 1896. The place is located in the heart of Athens, near the national garden and Temple of Olympian Zeus.

This is a place where luxurious and sophisticated events usually take place. The building is truly magnificent, which makes the aforementioned occasion of event really a five star experience. If by any chance a concert or an event takes place here, do not hesitate and grab the opportunity to visit it. Nevertheless, it is also great to just stop by and see inside the surrounding area.

Beautiful monument in the centre of Athens. It is surrounded by a nice garden in which you have a free zoo.

The Zappion is a nice building to see, I really liked its architecture. The garden close to the building, and notably the fountain, is really nice too. I had a walk in this park, then I saw the Zappion and after that I continued my visit to other sites close to the Zappion.
