I don't have words. Cannot describe all inconveniences lived in one day: one enthusiastic visiting day just turned up in bad feelings. And these could be evaded just giving some information more by people PAID to give these I say just that: at the end, the OLNY train connection in all the day to Patras 55km away has been lost, cause the bus (that substitute the train) had not stopped. Because it was even earlier than the time, I rushed to security station to ask what was happening, to help, showing the ticket. Nothing. NOTHING Without words I add timetable to give some information more, the ones in Google are not correct at the moment I'm writing, hope you won't have the same experience than me! good luck

Combines sea & mountain. Relaxing, traditional, choices for all ages. Close to Athens. Just perfect for me.
Very nice train station, awful people.. We came from athens for hiking, but 5' before the onboarding the faculty didnt allow dogs. No information about this anywhere!!
I only knew why it was called Switzerland of greece. Firstly, it is located on the top of the mountain, and it is constantly windy and cool. Secondly, the train going to Kallawita is very clean and good. I will take a train from there. Foreigners are using a lot. The way up the trains takes you through a lot of gorges in Greece. It is also recommended to go with your child.
A lot of new coffee-shops nearby. If you visited Diakopto through the famous toothed train, have an hour between connections and do not want to just sit down to eat or drink coffee, walk 10 minutes to the port/beach to see the small port and smell the fishy sea.
Friendly staff. Unfortunately no bicycle transport in the rack railway. (15 years ago it was possible for small bikes although then the Trains were smaller)
Beautiful small train station at the traditional village of Diakofto. Pretty nice ride to Kalavrita and Zachlorou mountain villages with train (odontotos). The ticket is 9.50 euros for adults and the time duration is about one hour through the beautiful gorge of Voraikos.
Clean place, friently staff, the train was on time. Worth to visit and travel with
