United Airlines canceled my flight to Newark to connect with Emirates. I called Emirates several times to be told I can fly the next day for additional close to 2,500. The reason I chose Emirates was because it was a direct flight from Newark to Athens, Greece. I had to buy new tickets thereafter, duration 27 hours. Bare in mind I waited 17 years to visit my mother land. I had the whole vacation planned and paid for. On the third day in Athens, two hours before my departure to Crete I fell and broke my hip. I can write a book about that. As any citizen I figured I should use my paid return with Emirates because I can die from a blood clot. I called them. I explained my situation only to find out I no longer had a return ticket. Those are the rules. I argued because of my health. They did not only not make an exemption but they couldn’t care less. Yes there are rules and regulations but I don’t understand why a human life doesn’t mean anything. Why upon purchase and with my numerous conversations I was not told of the MOST UNFAIR REGULATION WE LOOSE OUR RETURN TICKET. Dear reader educate others about this rule. As far as United Airlines, I’m at war with them.
