Magically, always. I've been more than 10 times to this unique place, still it feels like the first time and every time I discover something new.

Stunning scenery and a great place to stay in amongst the old lower town. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants. Worth a climb up to the top to see the ruins of the castle. From the top you have great views back across the causeway to the mainland.

Graphic little pavements, full of cafes, bars, traditional greek "kafeneia" (coffee shops), and so many places to walk. You can admire the architecture, the nature, or the view of the sea.

Great view, nice small shops and magnificent views from the different cafés and the castle ruins all the way on top of the hill. Similar experience as Mt Saint Michael in France, but bluer oceans, better views and way less touristic.

Such an incredible place! Wild, rocky, historic beauty. A place that would make any Greek proud of their culture, history, and country with a romantic aura. If you like photoshoots, every little corner, all restaurants and coffee places are suitable for the most amazing and creative photos. People are friendly and hospitable and the place is perfect for people who prefer calm and peaceful romantic vacation but with some adventure too !

Plan your walk. (The weak should not try this) There is a small parking lot midway up the mountain. You then have the option of hiking all the way to the summit and view the castle. Or hike down which there is still plenty to see of the old churches - remarkable condition for their age. Or make a day of it, park at the bottom. Once down, there is an excellent taverna - I can recommend. Please like, if you found this helpful.
