Picturesque scenery port of the Cyclades islands complex. Different building architecture than the other islands of Cylades. Popular destination during the summer season with many good entertainment options. It is close enough to the city of Athens, nice for a weekend gateway.

Beautiful island with a good dock. The marina is in the right side of the entrance. They have a lot of restaurants, cafe bar and terrace.We are decking here 1 day, the port is clean with water and electricity.The harbor master is a very helpful and cool guy...thanks for everything Syros.
This is where the BLUE STAR FERRIES (not sure about which others) leave from, and also the waiting area for the boats. Beautiful scenery.
..before write about a Port you must write about its people and especially the people of work with the Sea...So Syros has a long tradition with the Sea and so it's People involved as mariners in all skills either on board a ship or building ships either steel hulls or fishing traditional boats of any size..now the Port is very nice with its tavernas coffee shops etc.Syros attracted many families after the massacre of Chios island during Greek Revolution for Independence..So when you walk in this Port you pass through centuries of long history..
One of the most beautiful ports in Cyclades, especially at night! Take some time for a walk across the port and you won't regret it!
