The Municipal Port Office of Aristotle (MPOA) is a new local governmental agency that has in its jurisdiction nine ports and one traditional shipyard. Two of the main ports connect Greek Hinterland with Agio Oros which is the Holy region of the Orthodox Christians with an important pilgrim traffic from all over the world (10000/annum). Mission of the MPOA is to provide public administration services for contributing in the commercial, passenger, maritime, tourist and fishing activities and more generally in the proper operation of its ports, ensuring the reinvestment of all fees paid by the users. The ultimate target is to support the sustainable development of the Municipality of Aristotle in cooperation with the relative Governmental Agencies, local authorities and citizens.
