The main square in Heraklion. It is not very beautiful, the ugliest square in town... It could be better...

Awesome market area for tourists AND locals! I'm not sure if this market is always there, but it was a wonderful break from all the touristy shopping areas. Each tent was from a local artisan selling things like jewelry, ceramics, honey, liquors.
Long walks down the vibrant and very interesting city streets of the area
It's a busy intersection with a square in the middle and shops/hotels around the edge. Adjacent to the city walls.
Nice place to sit in the shade, but other than that not much to see.
