Combined with the endless amount of plastic and corroded metal objects on the beach during the non tourist season it gives the whole area a nice post-apocalyptic flair. If the wind goes in the right direction, you can also enjoy the thick fumes & lovely fœtid smell of burned heavy oil. Once a week the locals seem to perform a ritual wherein they gather these objects into piles and burn them to pay homage to environmental consciousness.

Does a job but is a huge blight on an otherwise beautiful location. The smoke from the stacks ruin pictures of the mountains and the stacks themselves ruin pictures of the coastline. Also ruins the view walking back from the sea. On the plus side the place is so visible they work really well as a sort of "north star" when navigating around the coast.

Of all the places on the Island couldn't be built anywhere else but on the touristic hotspot, ruining the beuty of the beach and environment. Not a wise choice at all ...

It was built to produce biogas using organic waste from expired foods in restaurants/live stock farms etc. Sure it isn’t aesthetically pleasing but it was built to be environmentally friendly. Not every beach in the world is built only for tourists looking flawless. Locals enjoy the beach as well.

So nasty-looking structure at so wonderful place. Smoking factory on the beach, are you serious?
