The stadium is in the greater area of Messini’s archeological site which includes the Temple of Asklepios a doric temple that was destroyed and rebuilt again. A small theatre which an inscription was found that said that this building was called "Decterion". An arcadic gate at the north side. The Temple of Artemis Limniatis or Lafria and the stadium which only the walls remains and the seats of the stadium.

Un posto magico, un incredibile stadio greco restaurato che da l'idea di quanto maestosi dovevano essere i giochi praticati a quei tempi! Da non perdere se passate da Messene!
