Wow! What an incredible experience to be in Paros, Greece at the Aegean Idea Lab. I can’t recommend enough taking a course here, or participating in an artist residency. Kathy is a wonderful teacher, and I left my residency feeling very proficient using a laser cutter, which was the machine I chose to focus on (although there are many other exciting machines, like 3D printers, etc that you can learn!) Also, the machines are very accessible even to those with no technology/software experience. I didn’t have any background in using the software, and it was super easy to learn with Kathy’s guidance. The lab space itself is beautiful, with a rooftop with unbelievable views - perfect for a morning yoga session! Kathy also makes you feel instantly at home in a foreign place - she is so well versed with the local scene, and a talented artist herself. I can definitely say my experience at the Aegean idea lab was transformational for my art practice, and I will be back!

Kathy is amazing! She is very helpful, patient and informative. I followed a meditation class, my boyfriend followed one of her yoga classes and we felt like she was saying the right things at the right moment, it simply couldn’t have been any better! Also, I was very intrigued to learn more about the laser cutter and the 3D printers and see how many possibilities there are. I would recommend the Aegean Idea Lab to everybody who wants to learn how to use machines that can make companies and your life easier - it is the future, and to combine it with yoga & meditation makes the whole experience complete.
