It's a very nice small museum. The first floor has stuffed animals not just from the general vicinity but from allover the world. The second floor is dedicated to the various mushroom types and their benefits for the human body. Also, there is a shop with various foodstuff which contain mushrooms as well as some other product, also mainly themed with mushrooms. The chocolate was not to our licking though, as the dried mushrooms do not go well with the chocolate (neither their tough and chewy texture, nor their taste).

Although very interesting and unique, the price could be lower. Great displays of the different animals and mushrooms, but not much more to offer.

Got some great animals on exhibit and then go upstairs to see the mushrooms on show. You even get to taste some examples. Very neat and tidy and not an overly large museum so shouldn't take you more than an hour. There's a couple of drink machines upstairs, souvenir shop and toilet facilities.

Very interesting, highly recommended! Too bad there are no deeper explanations than species names and basic info. The staff is really nice and speak English fluently. The animals section contains Greek and non Greek species. We were told that most of the presented stuffed animals weren't killed on purpose, but brought from captivity and died naturally. Personally I think it's beautiful and a lesson to be taught to all stuffed animals museums. The mushroom section is well designed and looks amazing.

Very unusual museum in a beautiful semi-city. Educational for children, fascinating taxidermy for all. Wonderful staff, well-informed, who delight in answering questions. The downstairs is filled with interesting dioramas containing wildlife. Upstairs is a mushroom museum - free mushroom tasting! The museum has many mushroom food products they have designed and had packaged... also olive products. Children's toys and other gifts available.
