I had the pleasure of staying in this cottage for 2 weeks before Easter. It is private and bigger than anticipated with the essentials needed for everyday life. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and activities in close-by villages. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to experience a Greek lifestyle. My experience has left me wanting to return as soon as possible.

The Villa Oreastro was key to our wonderful visit on Crete. Johanna was very welcoming and an ongoing resource - meeting us at a local kafeneon and sharing information on the ins and outs of the area. The house is well designed and beautifully laid out for a comfortable stay and greeted us with a kitchen stocked with local Cretan foods and fresh eggs from her chickens. The location was ideal - a peaceful rural setting yet close to the Chania Airport & Venetian port with easy access for excursions to beaches, gorges, Heraklion/ Knossos, traditional restaurants with music and more. The house also served as a base to explore Kefalas, surrounding villages and walking trails rich in folk traditions and ancient sites. We'll miss the view of the White Mountains from the rooftop terrace!
Ein wunderschönes Steinhaus in den Bergen von Westkreta. Das Haus ist sehr hochwertig eingerichtet und es ist alles enthalten, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Wir haben 14 Tage dort verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Allein wenn man morgens aufsteht und den Ausblick auf die Berge hat. Hinzu kommt die sehr nette Gastgeberin Johanna. Sie war von Anfang an sehr freundlich und konnte gute Tipps geben. Wenn man dann noch Tiere mag (aktuell 3 Hunde, 5 Katzen, Hühner und Gänse) ist alles perfekt. Wir denken gerne an unsere Zeit dort zurück.
