My home airport is Manchester..this airport is more superior.. comfortable.. faster..no hanging about..they want you in and out as fast as possible..and the staff are far more friendly!..go to Kefalonia..but not when I'm there!

As far as being an airport it's pretty good. Security was easy, they were nice and pleasant. It's air-conditioned. And it's a pretty small airport. In terms of shopping don't expect much. There's a free phone charge station which is nice and there's plenty of toilets and they are clean. The outside has a free drop off and pick up area which is nice and there are plenty of taxis outside should you need one.

Beautiful views of Kefalonia from above. The airport was fully renovated in the past 2 years. Plenty of taxies in front, easy to access and navigate...duty frees before embarking gate

The airport is in construction but not interfering with departing or arriving. Warm reception from the staff. It’s becoming increasingly crowded but it’s efficient. In the summer planes arrive directly from Europe. You can find a flight from Athens with reasonable prices. I flew with SKY EXPRESS. No charge for my heavy suitcase. The airport is located about 15 minutes from Argostoli and with beautiful scenery along the way. Rental cars very convenient to get to. Avis takes the cake with its superb service. Don’t be afraid of getting lost. It’s one straight route. I noticed representatives from hotels awaiting and shuttle vans.

I neither give nor a star, we were 3 people, each of us had 8 kilos, because I had a jasmine flower that took 25 euros from me. With one backpack inside the plane.

After renovation, the airport is wonderful, modern, clean. Love it. I would give 5 stars, except for the fact that the personnel cannot or will not enforce mask policy seriously. PA systems repeat the message that wearing masks is mandatory at all times. Many travelers disregard this. We tried to point this out to a staff member, who basically replied that wearing a mask on the chin (nose and mouth completely out) counts as "wearing a mask". Kefalonia managed to keep the pandemic at bay, so far, but the airport is a key point in the strategy. I hope they will do better in the future. I wish them all the best.
