Interesting small archeological museum. It is only worthwhile if you purchased the combined ticket that includes the old Venetian fortress, the museum of Asian Art, the archeological museum and two others. It is easy to get to and the best time to visit is during the hottest part of the day when everything else slows down. The best part is the pediment from the temple of Artemis and the funerary Lion of Menecrates.

Great museum, not too big or small to get round. Defintely worth a visit. Architecturally impressive newish addition to building. Shop has nice gifts etc at reasonable prices. Staff could be a bit more cheery though..

I would put 5 star for the museum and the exhibitions, but instead I put 2 due to the staff mentality. The museum although very small is nicely reconstructed with the exhibits very well presented. But, when we visited the museum (we were 3 adults and 3 small children and we were the only visitors at that moment), there were 6 (to many for such a small museum!) staff members and not even one bothered to come and help us, although children kept asking questions about the exhibits. They could have made the experience far more interesting for the children, if not interacting and helping in person but at least by providing leaflets for children, with track and trace simple quizzes, like the museums abroad..

Very nice Museum. It's quite small, however, it's got some unique specimens, it's modernised and the exhibits are presented in a simple minimalistic manner that put the focus on the specimens themselves. Personally I'm always amazed by the massive pediment of the temple of Artemis (Diana in Latin); it's by far one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. The entire visit shouldn't take you more than half an hour but I do believe it's worth your time. The entrance (2020) is 6.

Very interesting exhibition containing a wide range of statues, ruins, pottery and coins. Everything is displayed in a clear and minimalistic way.

Nicely reconstructed. The museum is not very big, but well designed and exhibits some rare historical artifacts. All text in Greek and English. Opening hours in high season: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Open 6 days a week, closed on Tuesdays. Clean toilets, no food/drinks and only very very small museum store. Parking in neighbourhood usually possible near the water/coast line

Very good museum. Definitely worth a visit for the artifacts and the contemporary addition to the building.

Really tiny, very nice structures and spaces but not a lot of material. Decent explanations in English. The two ppl at the ticket office seemed to be there by chance and didn't care much about customers.
