Nice trail that leads to an amazing beach. It really feels like you're walking in the middle of nowhere. Loved the experience. You can take a donkey as a taxi to a place more further down, towards the beach (you can do the same on the way back)
This trail is fun and easy going down with breathtaking views! But the fun is over when it’s time to make the return trip!! Stairs and incline uphill are pretty intense, but it is the best way to see Balos fully as coming by boat doesn’t have the view from the top. Luckily, there are plenty of viewing areas and places to stop along the way to catch your breath. Young and old can do this is you’re slow and steady and pack water.
Very attractive place. Even when climbing back uphill. :)) Unfortunately not so many sand as it seems from the high hills ;)
Worth a visit but best to be prepared for crowds and walking. Its very dusty and walk for less able is harder. Drive to the car park is also long and with many people going its slow too. I would rather suggest taking a boat trip but if you want to spend all day and enjoy it all, go by car. It is still very worthy experience.
From this point you can get an incredible view of Balos. The entire hike from the parking is probably a bit more than the 20 minutes everyone says and depending on the time of day it will be grueling. It’s still worth it for the view alone. When we were there there was a stand at this viewpoint where you could get a water or a soft drink. The drive to get to the parking is grueling but if you stay for sunset the chances are high that you will have the place to yourself. (The only question is if you want to do that drive after dark).
After a small walk in the mountain, this beach is one of the best, pink sand, blue water ...
