The food and drinks at the Toad are all amazing! Another customer recommended the steak and potato pie and it did not disappoint, the lasagne was very tasty although it was a little more like a chilli lasagne due to the use of peppers but again it was very good. They have a happy hour between 5pm and 6pm where the majority of cocktails or a glass of wine is 2 for 1. Alison and Yanni are great hosts and brilliant to have a laugh with. P.s. they do a proper English breakfast with English sausage, english bacon and black pudding (definitely one to try)

Called in here a few times when last here in May '18. Lovely place, pretty much the first bar you see from Poseidon. Bangin' roast dinner. Hope to return in May '21. Fingers crossed!
Another reason to return. Such a fantastic welcome. Great selection of food, drinks, gins and happy hour. Sunday lunch, roast dinners, fresh vegetables and roast potatoes and proper gravy. Booking essential. Xxxxxxxxx
Had to wait over an hour and a half for just a salad, fish fingers and sausages. If they want to get five stars they need to not just look the part but play the part. It's like saying a show will start at 7 and then it starting at 8 they really need to step up their game. It's unbelievable how long you have to wait, absolutely disgusting. Other than that, they have great music playlists and a nice layout, the food when you finally get it is nice but I feel they should improve on the overall service. And then should I add, you have to wait even longer just to pay to leave the place. I wouldn't recommend it, no matter how good the food it (cough its meh and to be fair, a waste of time and money).
