It's a rough road to drive there, then a bit of a walk once you park. This is one of those things that looks better far away than close up. There aren't many people that make this trek, the path way is grown over with scratchy and thorn covered bushes, but it's possible to walk right up to the tower. This is the only tower I've seen that was renovated. They sealed up the door so don't expect to climb up to the top and scan fire pirates. I arrived close to sunset so was able to take a few nice photos. It at least gives you an idea of what the lookouts were like hundreds of years ago.
