This is an excellent museum with over 20 locally found species. The most astonishing finding are the worlds longest tusks ever found, a finding so astonishing that you need to see from up close to really appreciate. Other findings include rhinos tapirs bovines reptiles and marine fauna. The tour guide is amazing and very polite. The admission ticket is free and there is only a voluntary donation, should you wish to do so.

Simple filled with information
It's a shame not many people are aware of this. The museum is funded only from donations and unfortunately it had seen better days. The exhibitions are unique (Guinness record mamouth tusks) and a great representation of Greece's natural history. We also hot a full guided tour from the manager. It is a must-get-your-kids.
Very cool, only 6 minutes from highway so worth the stop. If closed, call # on door & they’ll come open it (during normal hours. Donations happily accepted
I learned many things about the mamouth
An interesting museum which talks about the fossils excavated in the Grevena region. The museum is a few rooms, it doesn't take long to take a tour.
Great exhibit of the local mamoths
Amazing exhibits that deserve better facility..totally worth paying a visit!
