Beautiful details in the engraving, history behind the lion is powerful and the park is worth the visit I visited this park several times during my stay in Nafplio. A lovely park with benches and an impressive carving on a boulder of a sleeping lion. Th statute was commissioned by King Ludwig of Bavaria to commemorate the solders of the personal guard of King Otto who died during a typhus epidemic in Nafplio. I always walked here during my several visits from old town, about a 20 minutes walk. The lion is quite pretty to see and i always come back. Its always a nice walk there on a sunny day

Actually worth seeing, small but worth looking yuan interesting history. There is s version of the same dying/ sleeping lion in Lucerne.

Ιδιαίτερος και πανέμορφος χώρος
Μια έκπληξη για μένα καθώς δεν γνώριζα την ύπαρξη του. Φτιάχτηκε για να θυμίζει την πανωλη. Μοναδικό επιβλητικό το λιοντάρι. Όμως ειναι παραμελημένο και βλέπεις στο βράχο χόρτα.
