Joseph and Mel were both great on the computer and in person. Joseph arrived to catch a ferry at 7am and worked back late to go through everything for us. With his knowledge, he knew absolutely everything and pointed out so many things that I had missed. I was surprised how much detail he went into inspecting every nut and bolt for me and made the experience awesome for us with a great professional attitude and easy going. When the shipyard made things difficult for sea trial he made it happen and was very direct with them. They have sent me a huge survey report and saved me thousands on purchasing my yacht. We highly recommend this company and its a pleasure to give a 5 star rating.
Job done: survey (dry-dock and sea trial) of a Sailing vessel of 16m length, aged 40 years in Athens. In Short: the IYSA Team is absolutely trustworthy and commendable! I came across the website after searching the internet and the page immediately inspired me through the clear structure and the amount of information available as preview and for download. The answer to my email was then a confirmation of the first impression. In perfect English, personal but professional, I got a clearly structured proposal and after the first phone call also the chance to adapt the deliverables to my needs (a prioritized to do list that I still use as base for the works I am now doing). Being a sailor, a marine engineer and a real boat lover, Iosif started a deep dive into the last and more remote areas of the ship and did not miss a spot during the survey on land and the sea trials. Maybe the most relevant part for me personally where the discussions and comments during the survey as a lot of the personal experience and knowledge was sherd that would normal not find its way into the final survey document. While being able to quickly clear up questions in Greek with the owner (something you will not get from an international surveyor working in Greece), the conversation was easy and in very good English. Al in all, I can only advice to get in touch with IYSA and I am deeply thankful for the job done and the support given over the phone and WhatsApp even after the job was done.
