Very convenient, with three different destinations. Airport on the East, Chalkida on the North (although you have to change trains once you arrive in Athens) and Kiato on the West. What's strange (in Kiato's case) is that you pay the same price for Kiato, whether you use the train from Piraeus or from Ano Liosia. Dunno...

Wonderful place
Be it beginning your journey, ending your journey or just hanging out. The Piraeus Metro station brings to mind memories of train stations you might find in Paris, only smaller. This is the first and last stop on the 1 line. It can be a little shady outside but not terrible.
train station is small and walking distance to E8 terminal at Piraeus Port about 1 km and no sign board for the direction it's not easy to find the first time.
