Makrinou Fountain is situtated very close to the Pyrgaki Springs which provide water supplies to Vytina and Elati. It is easily reached by foot in various ways, since it is on the path of the Vytina - Elati section of the Menalon trail. Alternatively, use the Vytina - Elati paved road, turn on the dirt road to Agioi Theodoroi Monastery, leave your car on the small bridge (100m after the junction), and walk the trail southwards for 500m. The water of the fountain is ... DIVINE!
