Animal Lovers - This is for you! This stables is the ONLY stables on the island that has horse care and love to such a high standard. Not only are all the horses loved as pets, but the couple who own the horses also work in the local community to raise awareness of good animal practices. They give lessons to local children, they show by example what it means to be a good owner, and they rescue and help abandoned horses and donkeys. I live on the island and year round the owners are with the horses, tending the horses, keeping the horses warm in winter and cool in summer. They never overwork them and all the animals have access to veterinary care. To finish let me just say that in all the winters here, I have only ONCE seen a horse with a coat on in the cold and this was of course one of these guys horses! I cannot recommend them enough.

This is was the best thing we did on our trip. Had such a great time and our guide was wonderful. There are a few routes you can pick from depending on your skill level. The owner Nick was incredibly friendly. Treated us as if we were a part of his family, makes you feel at home.
Highly recommended program! They are offering horse rides for 7 years already and were the first on this island to do so. You can really see and feel that they have a lot of experience. A very good program for beginners as well as for more experienced riders. Our pick up location was at a bakery and from there they brought us to the horse riding center. We got our helmets, a bottle of water and a bag for our phones, the rest of our stuff we could leave there. After a short introduction we got our horses and started our way across vineyards and volcanic landscapes to the beach. A beautiful scenery. On our way we stopped two times and our guide took pictures about us. Throughout the trip he gave us interesting information and stories about the environment and the landscape. When we arrived back, they gave a nice cold shower for all the horses. You could really see that they treat them very well and also feel that they are well trained. All the horses were really happy. The staff could tell us stories about the different horses there, that meant to us, that they really know them well and work together closely for a long time. The tour lasted for two hours how they write it in their description. It was our pleasure to meet Nikos and Janet the owners and managers of Santorini Horse Riding in person. As a hungarian tourist it was nice to experience that Janet is also from Hungary. She is super kind and friendly with everyone and it was great talking to her. Santorini Horse Riding is the reason why we would visit the island again. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience! Kinga & Benedikt
Our argentinian guide was amazing. (I am sorry, I always forget names.) My and my partner we are experienced riders but the horses are well prepared for 1st horse riding experience. Lovely view and a must do on Santorini.
Memorable ride along vineyards and the beach!! The best stable on the island!! Great horses, good care taking for the animals.. the people professional and very kind!!
It was the highlight of my stay in Santorini - I did the Safari Tour two times. One time with other riders and one time as a privat. It is family owned and they really care about their horses. They are also quite responsible and do only things that they can see is suitable for the rider and the horse. Please be aware that you really should be an advanced rider for the Safari Tour otherwise it would spoil the experience.
