We were due to eat at this Taverna on Friday 22/5/2020 our first night on holiday. Due to virus our holiday is cancelled so Will miss being there as we have been going there for 13 years (mostly twice a year) and love it. Food has always so tasty and the owners George and Rosemary are lovely. Always have time for a word to two even when busy. Highly recommended.

I go every year. pure Greek traditional dishes. the cook - George - is there 40 years now. very clean kitchen.

We visited twice. The food was OK the first visit. The chips were in fact very good sauted potatoes. Second visit however we plumped for the steak, described as thick and juicy by the waiter. It was in fact thin, tough and overcooked. His recommendation for a bottle of semi sweet boutari rose at 9.5 euros, as opposed to the house wine at 6 euros for 500ml was spot on, as it was an excellent wine. All in all we probably made a bad choice having steak in Greece and the food was better than a lot of the other restaurants in Troulos / Skiathos in general. Try it you may be luckier.

Lightening strikes took out electrics of most tavernas down one end of street so we tried Vareli Taverna for 1st time and the only time I have liked feta cheese on Greek salad..turns out it was sheep's cheese not goat's cheese! Staff wee very friendly...food was great and despite rain pouring off the roof we all stayed dry and well fed! Very convenient right on bus stop 18 in Group Is. We will definitely go here next time we visit Skiathos

The owners are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The lady is English and the man is greek. The meals are good portions and fast service. Almost too fast as we prefer a little gap between courses. This can make you feel rushed. The meal we had was the most expensive we have had so far so it's not a budget restaurant. The tables are set out spaciously and we had lots of room around us and a big table for just the 4 of us.

Not impressed....service is done on the run !!! Staff seems to trot from place to place...food nothing to write home about and as lots of people there were returning eaters they were fussd over while us , first time visitors , were ignored until time to pay the bill !! Am still in Troulos as I write this ...doubt if we'll return.

All over us when we arrived, but ignored us after we complained about the gristle and skin in the chicken pie. No offer of replacement nor compensation. Blamed us(!!!) for not telling the owner although we had told the waiter. Will not go again and cannot recommend, especially the chicken pie.
