We came to this place to spend our 3-day weekend with our friends and our children. We walked in to a room after a long trip to find a really cozy warm, comfortable and clean room. This particular hostel has five rooms, one with two double beds, 2 with a double bed in a single bed, and 2 with double beds. We close our room at 85eu per night which I find it as a very reasonable price for the location. Downstairs we were greeted by the owners a younger couple in their late 30s with their adorable little daughter, that had taken over this hostel recently and we found out after just one day it was being run very effectively and efficiently. After our long trip, in the contemporary dinning/sitting room with a cool fire place, we treated ourselves to a couple of homemade pizzas, which were some of the best pizzas I have had, and I have had A LOT of pizzas at A LOT of different countries! Their dessert was fresher as fresh can be, an ekmek kataifi to die for, but also a banofe surprise bowl that was unforgettable, and I will make it at home in the very near future. Plenty of parking outside and plenty of things to do in nature for the kids, especially to take a nice stroll around the village! I would definitely visit again and suggested to my friends!

10 minutes to Vasilitsa ski resort, clean and comfortable, and our host Zoi was lovely! Food was more than great, too!!
We experienced wonderful hospitality at Koukounari during our cycling tour in northern Greece. The 360 degree views of the surrounding Pindus mountains are magnificent; the home made pizza was perfect; nothing was too much for them including putting our bicycles away, providing delicious hot chocolate so that we could warm up after being caught in a drenching downpour. Zoi helped us find a bike shop in Grevena and discussed in detail what was needed to arrange a speedy repair of a broken wheel. We were overwhelmed by the kindness of everyone we met and would love to spend more time exploring this stunning part of Greece.
We stayed there with my friends for 2 days and we really enjoyed it! The rooms are clean,cozy and beautifully decorated. The view from the living room is wonderful. Breakfast and dinner are included and they are very very tasteful. The morning coffee is a greek blend and it tastes delicious. The owner and the stuff are always ready to help with a smile. Definitely a place to be!
It' a must when around. Especially for those who are searching for a non smoking, kids friendly environment. Of course the view is to die for…The food also is extremely delicious and the staff very friendly and kind. We are going to visit again, I hope really soon. Highly recommended.
