If you don't mind waiting it's very easy to use an inexpensive. People complain about the 30 min wait, yes, it takes some time, you can always take a taxi and pay 50 or more. If you are in a hurry this is probably not for you, or maybe it is because if you hit traffic towards the city it can take a while. Metro is clean and safe.

Why do you have to cross a road in the open air from the station to the airport? Why are trains only every half hour?

Connection to the city is bad and way overpriced. Low-level infrastructure.

There is a little bit of a wait for departures but it is now very modern and much better than it was before they built the metro because you had to pay more to get a bus and you had to wait more than 1 hour for each departure in the sun. I would say the only thing lacking is signs in English and an information booth with an English speaker because otherwise might get a little difficult or confusing for people who don't speak Greek like me.

The station is good and modern but the long waiting time is frustrating. Trains towards city centre are every 30 minutes and if you miss one you will have to wait there doing nothing but just waste time from your ticket and maybe in the end you might not be able to get out of the metro station because you do bot have any time left. The trains in summer especially should be at least evert 15 minutes as there are many people coming to Athens. The ticket price is a bit expensive as you pay to wait 30 minutes for your train.

Nice and clean airport terminal You can either choose the train or the metro to the downtown Athens. However, those signs for the OSE have only Greek that means you may get into the wrong train. Just like I did and I almost missed the train in Larissa Station. If you need to go to the city centre, metro is the best choice. Otherwise, just ask the locals for help.

Just arrived to Athens, the black hair girl in the ticket Office has ripped of to us. We asked for the 2 persons ticket and she does not want to sell it. We had to buy 2 single tickets instead. So, what a charmful welcome to Greece
