Excellent value for money, great quality car, excellent professional service. Highly recommend. Don’t be fooled by the cheap misleading quotes you see on comparison websites for the big companies - when you go to book they add on extra costs and deposits for insurance. Book with Vagelis. Very honest, great price, excellent communication, delivered car to my hotel and even had a map for me and tips for places to go. Great value for money. Very impressed. Will use again! Amazing service. Vangelis met us at the airport and took us the car park that’s nearby. All been explained clearly and quickly. Car was almost brand new and in very good, clean condition. We haven’t had any issues throughout our 10 days stay on Kefalonia. On our return we have arrived to airport departure and handed car back there. Good price for the car too
We headed to Kefalonia for a week and hired a car with the very helpful friend who met us at the airport and talked us through all necessary driving tips and what to check out etc he gave us a road map and told us where we can drive along coasts and where to park etc I’ve never experienced such a helpful gentleman who was always available to contact (even when we had to drive back from one side of the island (during a hurricane) he drove and met us to ensure we were safe while making the journey, Checked over the car and warned us about the slippery roads due to rain! It was the easiest car hire I’ve ever done! Will definitely book again! Thanks for an easy quick rental! Jonathan Griffiths
Very friendly and helpful company. The car was in good condition and we had no problems at all. We received really helpful info and tips about a great restaurant (which we tried and was excellent), road closures due to the cyclone along with a good map of the island. Pick up and drop off was very efficient and went really smoothly. Would recommend
For our first visit to Kefalonia I thought I’d give Samotas Car Rental a try, so emailed for a quote. I got an immediate response and the whole booking was sorted in no time. We were met coming out of arrivals at the airport and the car (a nice Golf) was right outside waiting for us. The admin was completed quickly and Vagelis spent time giving us tips on driving and the island roads. He also gave us a good road map and showed us some of the routes to various beaches and attractions. An enjoyable experience! You get a totally professional service, good vehicle at a good rate, all with a friendly, local touch. I would 100% use again and recommend to anyone. Thanks!
Fantastic service. They were waiting for us at pick up and drop off. Lovely car and service with a friendly smile. I have had a few issues over the years with the big chains and always try and go local. They always care more and these guys are a shining example. You could tell they wanted us to have a great experience of renting the car and for the whole holiday. Well done!
Completely hassle free car rental experience from start to finish! Simotas are a locally operated company that really take pride in their fantastic customer service. Totally honest with no unexpected extra charges. Vagalis himself is a great guy, and will be waiting for you straight outside the terminal building exit to greet you. Just send him your details in advance when booking and you will be driving away into the mountains in a matter of minutes! Don't waste your time queuing at the mainstream car hire company desks in the terminal. Need I say, I would have no hesitation in using Simotas again when I return to Kefalonia!
Very relaxed, met on arrival and dropped the car right outside the airport. Great communication. If you're happy keeping things informal I would highly recommend Vagelis over the big name hire companies. Way better experience and value. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.
