Very busy cable car station. Getting down is very doable as the waiting line and queue is mostly shaded from the sun. Ticket to get down per person is 6. If you want to go up, that's another 6, which you buy at the lower station. TIP: Plan your return when going back up. We were unlucky enough to clash with 3 tourists boats and we waited about 1.5 hours in queue... Overall, this is the most convenient way to get down to the port.

Since the area is so over crowded, lines for the cable car took over a hour in the hot sun. This is one of the only ways to get down the side of the mountain unless you want to take a donkey or walk an extremely steep trail. I would recommend to give yourself a ton of time to either wait in line or go later when hopefully there isn’t a line but my guess is there’s always a line. Especially if there are 3 cruises in port. The only thing good about this is the view. But definitely not for the faint at heart with heights.
It’s a little expensive to ride the cable car (it’s a 5 minutes ride), but for those capable of walking up or down, it’s a better view and better for your health. But watch out for the donkey waste and piss on the path ;-( I think everything is expensive on this tourist island.

This was a fun experience. Be careful for long lines from cruise ships that could add an extra half hour. But a great alternative for walking up 500 steps.
Great view the Greek people are wonderful.
