A masive rock, nice views of the caldera from its feet.

Nicest spot on the whole island and definetly the most picturesque. Nice paved path and steps down to the rock but its more of a trail around the rock. The best views are on top of the rock but it is a climb. Not a walk up it. The pay offs are worth it bit definatley be careful no sandals or flip flops.
The views from the top of the rock are amazing. The path to the rock is nicely paved and the path around the rock is manageable for most people with average, ambulatory mobility. But the final climb on top of the rock is a vertical climb of 8-10metres on the actual rock, without railing. It’s a bit of a struggle, especially as some of the material you’re holding onto may come off. And don’t do it in flip flops - at all!
It is an easy walk until you get to the last part where you need to climb to the very top. My husband made it to the top where he seen some good views. I recommend wearing suitable shoes such as trainers or walking shoes, and be careful if you decide to climb. I would definitely recommend visiting Skaros Rock.
Nice trail, advices shorts or comfortable clothing, hiking gripping shoes are best advised of you want to go to the top. There are some shades points but most of it is exposed to the sun. Bring water.
So much fun. It was really hot, make sure to wear sunblock. The view was beautiful. The climb to the very top was a bit scary but it looks harder than what it really was. Just be careful, there are holes on the top you can fall into. There is a church in the side of the hill below the rock. It looks beautiful. There are many, many steps to get back up. You don't realize until you have to go up, remember to keep some energy to go back up. Take water and snacks.
An excellent hike which isn’t too long and treats you with stunning views of the caldera. And if you’re brave, you can go right up to the top of the rock formation (a small and slightly challenging 10m assent but doable by most people). Be sure to check out the church hidden below the very end of the hiking path on the point. Worth a short walk down to. TIP: If you do go down to the church, take the trail along the west side to return. It is level and will save you a hike back up!
Great hike. As you move towards the top of the Skaros the path gets a bit tricky. Make sure to wear good shoes
