When I arrived at the 15th Century monastery (end of May) I was the only person there. No monks, no open café, in fact, nothing was open at all except for the front gate. I walked into the main grounds to look around, and by the time I’d finished, a handyman had arrived and let me in to the church. The church is stunning inside, covered (as you would expect) with frescoes and gold chandeliers. There isn’t a huge amount to see, but it was lovely walking through the gardens and taking in the stunning view. The spring apparently has the best water quality on the island.

Totally wrong position for this marker. The monastery is on the north of the island. Google has the correct position on its page but this picture placeholder is in a totally different place..
