The Orchard in Vari (To perivoli sti Vari) was born not as a restaurant but as a ecycling project\. The idea behind was to show how to re-circle everything. It's not a case in fact, if the bathroom outside, is a special one. This bathroom is capable of produce fertilizer for the plants. Unfortunately this project did not have success. This fact tell us more about the Greek society than the project itself. To be able to go on, and \make the dream live\, they also opened a restaurant. The place is very nice, it's like a big vegetable garden, with some trees, tomatoes, and other vegetables. There are also some hen-houses! It's great for children to explore. On a side it has also a small game park with a children's slide and some bars. There is a small pond with frogs that, during the evening, croak. The place is entirely fenced (still keep an eye on your toddler!). Regarding the restaurant. It's good (some dishes more than others though). Mushrooms are amazing, so much that the last time I ordered them twice. Stuffed tomatoes and pepper bells are good. Chocolate cake is good too. Service was fast and professional. I suppose that the scramble eggs come from their chickens, it was nice and soft. They also sell some product, but I am not sure which ones. They offer also delivery trough efood sites.

Used to be a perfect retreat for families and a paradise for children. This is a shadow of its old self. Terrible service with bad manners and with long waiting time. Offensive intolerance for kids. Expensive and disrespectful.
We did the tour, and Anna was great! We learned a lot about olives and olive oil. Our lunch was great as well.

Beautiful setting for children to run and play and learn about growing vegetables and nature. Fantastic craft and play groups. Delicious organic meals from sweet restaurant that is determined to use the best and fresh off the land. In a word, wonderful.
The place is great for kids, but the food is average. Kitchen, cooking and service leave a lot to be desired, but the fun that your kids may have in the playground makes them just a minor nuisance. I really wish that they improve, so that we can continue visiting the place without hesitation. Tip: Do not try the kidney beans as they are undercooked and buried in tomato pulp.
